On February 23, 2016 Iryna Piskariova, “Tkuma” Institute Educational Programs Coordinator, and Lyudmyla Sandul, Research Associate, went to Kyslyanka village, where they held several educational events.

They told teachers and students of local schools about the educational programs implemented by the Holocaust Museum and “Tkuma” Institute and invited all interested to participate in. Pupils of the 5-11 grades got acquainted with some of the exhibits of Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” and learned about the features of museum work. This session was particularly interesting for pupils as there is local museum in Kyslyanka. Lyudmila But, Museum Director, is also a History teacher at school where she conducts guide-trainings for her pupils.

Irina Piskariova held a lesson of tolerance for pupils of the 1-3 grades. During the lesson children draw world that they are learning to see in different colors, appreciate these colors and overestimate their own and others’ values.
