This Sunday, August 16, the last meeting of the students of the School of the Young guides HistoryLabs project took place in Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”.

Among its graduates are people of different professions, united by love for their hometowns, their history and at the same time faith in the successful development of our multicultural region. The training program for future guides included a number of content blocks.

During the training, project participants listened to lectures by famous historians, experts on the history of the native land, the city, such as: Dr. Maksym Kavun, Dr. Serhiy Belivnenko, Valentyn Starostin, Valentyn Rybalka, Oleksandr Mirushchenko, Larysa Gavryushyna. Language workshops were taught by: Lyubov Tyaglo, Oleksandr Ostapovych, Olena Ponomarenko. The publisher Mykhailo Kislov acquainted with the literature about his native land. The students of the school analyzed the psychological aspects of the guide's work together with Mila Kozina. Dr. Igor Shchupak, director of Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” and "Tkuma" Institute, shared his experience of creating and developing museums. He was the main inspirer and spiritual leader of the project. Its successful implementation would not be possible without the coordinated and creative work of the staff of Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” and “Tkuma” Institute: Dr. Yehor Vradii, Tetiana Selyutina, Maryna Strilchuk, Vladyslav Bazilevsky, Larisa Ustina, Victoria Rodko , Olga Bello, Tetiana Poznenko, Yuri Matveev, Dmitry Konovalov, Alexei Branovitsky. We would like to express special gratitude to our partners - prof. Vladimir Milchev, Dr. Dmitry Kayuk, Dr. Oleh Repan, Anna Koleda, prof. Oleksandr Davletov, prof. Svitlana Pavlenko.

At the final meeting, the graduates received certificates on the successful completion of the course program. The best of them will additionally receive special badges that certify the qualifications of city guides. In addition, next year the best graduates of the School of Young guides will take part in international projects of the “Tkuma” Institute and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”.
