Only in later days of his life, he found out about his Jewish roots.

The experience exchange in teaching World War II and the Holocaust in schools and higher educational institutions of Ukraine was also very useful. Teachers presented their methodological work in the field of educational work, gathering testimonies of oral history, preserving the memory of the Holocaust.

The program of the seminar was not limited to auditorium work and research of museum exhibition. Diverse excursion program was provided daily: the Museum of Israel, the Wailing Wall, the Mossad Fortress, the Dead Sea, and pilgrimage shrines.
