During August 28 – September 02, 2018 Mykolaiv region hosted Youth Summer Forum, organized by International Jewish student organization “Hillel”. “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum traditionally took part in the development and organization of the educational program of the event.

Zoriana Bondar and Maryna Strilchuk, “Tkuma” Institute research associates, held several sessions on the Holocaust history and features of human behavior during the war. How many people do we need to manage the crowd? Is the obedience inherent only to those who are in danger? What was the driving force for those people who, at the risk of their own lives and the lives of their children, tried to save at least one Jew from the extermination? These and other issues were discussed during the sessions.

The topics of the interactive activities caused great interest among the youth, who took an active part in the discussion on the psychology of human behavior during the Holocaust and the motives of their actions.
