On March 29, 2018 “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum staff held special museum-educational lesson for students of the Multidisciplinary Lyceum № 99 from Zaporizhzhia. This visit to Dnipro was held on the initiative of Natalia Dordiieva, our longtime partner, history teacher.

The visit was to deepen students’ knowledge of the history of totalitarian regimes, the formation of the Nazi dictatorship in Germany and consequences for Europe. That is why during the guided tour, the Holocaust Museum researchers Dr. Olena Ishchenko and Valentyn Rybalka They focused on exhibitions, dedicated to the emergence of Nazi ideology and its anti-Semitic orientation, as well as the tragedies of the 20th c: the Holodomor, the Holocaust, the genocide of the Roma people. After the tour, school students met Dr. Igor Shchupak and learnt about his new 10th grade textbook on world history.
