Ihor Shakhraichuk passed away – an extremely bright, sensitive and kind person. It is difficult to list those whom he selflessly helped, remained faithful in spite of all life circumstances, gave his hand, even when he became seriously ill. He always sought to help, remembering everyone he met; was a scientific "father", companion and friend to many regardless of their age, professional or social status.
Ihor Shakhraichuk has formed a modern scientific tradition of studying the Resistance Movement on the territory of occupied Ukraine and Dnipropetrovsk region in particular. Among his students are candidates and doctors of sciences, associate professors and professors, heads of departments. Thanks to his human and professional feeling, the skill of a professional teacher, hundreds of graduates of Oles Honchar Dnipro National University were able to realize themselves in various fields.
