On September 17, the International Scientific Conference “30 years. How we are creating the history of modern Ukraine”. Dr. Igor Shchupak was the speaker of the conference.

Scientific reports and presentations at the sections “History of Ukraine in bureaucratic clothes: school dimension” were made by:

- Victoria Vengerska (Dr. of Historical Sciences, Professor, Ivan Franko Zhytomyr State University) – “Ukraine and its history: ‘growth disease’ and curricula”;

- Igor Dvorkin (Ph.D., Associate Professor, National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute") – “Another World War in school textbooks on the history of Ukraine: before and after Euromaidan”;

- Serhiy Lytovchenko (Ph.D., Associate Professor, Kharkiv National University) – “Ancient History of Ukraine: School Program Against (?) External Evaluation Program”;

- Petro Dolganov (Ph.D., Associate Professor, Rivne Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education) – “What (does not) tell a school textbook on history”.

“Historians”, university professors’ in school education and teachers’ opinion is interesting for me: history methodology and educational potential of the school course, “gender balance” in textbooks and “organization of cooperation” of state programs and external evaluation; historical lessons of World War II and the Holocaust etc".

The conference materials will be published next year. Constructive ideas will be implemented in school textbooks.
