During October 5-6, 2017 Berlin hosted workshop “Rescue of Jews During the Second World War in Contemporary Museums”, organized by Center for History Studies of Polish Academy of Sciences in Berlin, German Resistance Memorial Center and European College Jena. Dr. Igor Shchupak, director of “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum, was invited to take part in the workshop.

The workshop was held in several sections:

1.”Protagonists” – the purpose of the group was to discuss who the main heroes of various museums and exhibitions is.

2. “Mission” – during the work of this panel, participants discussed how museums determine their mission and how it is implemented in a permanent exposition.

3. “Architecture and Exhibition Design” – the role of architecture and design of exhibitions in the establishment of the concept of museums and historical content was discussed.

4. “Museum Education” – presentation of educational projects and programs implemented by modern museums.
