pedagogical work with youth on Holocaust teaching, historical memory forming
and democratic values respect etc. During his visit to Tkuma Center museum hall
Mr. Froehli listened with interest and excitement to the stories about the life
of Jews of Ukraine together with Ukrainian, Russian, German and other nations,
about Holocaust tragedy, about building in Dnepropetrovsk the Central museum of
Holocaust history in Ukraine. German official emphasized that Tkuma activity is
very important as well as the way it estimates Holocaust and its lessons, the
main of which is to establish international dialogue and cooperation, encourage
the principles of democracy and tolerance in society, irresponsible opposition
to xenophobia and anti-Semitism. While discussing specific directions of
German Embassy, Mr. Froehli marked that German side has
special interest in a number of Tkuma projects, including –
“Lessons of Holocaust – Lessons of Tolerance” International competition of
creative works of students and pupils;
