On January 26, “Tkuma” Institute organized an educational lesson on the Holocaust history for students of secondary school No. 94 in Odesa – a school with in-depth study of Hebrew and computer science. The interactive lesson on the topic “The struggle for life during the war and the Holocaust” was conducted by Dr. Igor Shchupak.

Schoolchildren had the opportunity to “touch history” when they tried to understand the documents and read the presented archival materials, works from Ukrainian and Russian literature “How I lived during the German occupation”, which were written by Ukrainian schoolchildren after the expulsion of the occupiers at the end of 1944. “Students worked actively for 90 minutes, asked questions, and answered on those topics of history that they had not yet studied, – remarked Dr. Shchupak. – The topic of the lesson was very interested and sometimes acutely perceived by children who are witnesses of bombings and missile attacks today, in the times of full-scale Russian aggression against Ukraine. I am sincerely grateful to the teachers and administration of the 94th school for teaching and raising such smart and thoughtful teenagers”.
