On January 27, the historic webinar “Holocaust: History and Memory” was organized with the International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust (Auschwitz, Poland) and the “Orion” Publishing House. The event was dedicated to the International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Speakers were Anna Stanczyk, Head of Education Projects at the International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust (Auschwitz, Poland), Dr. Yehor Vradii, Dr. Igor Shchupak.

During discussion the following questions were discussed: Why does the world honor the memory of the victims of the Holocaust on January 27? How is the history of the Holocaust taught in Ukraine and Poland? Why are the lessons of the Holocaust still relevant today? and other.

During the webinar, Anna Stanczyk spoke about how the International Holocaust Remembrance Day is celebrated in Poland and, in particular, which events are holding on January 27 at the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum. The researcher paid special attention to the issue of how the topic of the Holocaust and Nazi concentration camps is presented in the curriculum in Poland.
