On April 11–12, "Tkuma" Institute educational events on the Holocaust and World War II history and teaching methods of these topics during school history lessons were held in Odesa and Izmail.

 At Prof. Polina Barvinska invitation, Dr. Igor Shchupak held lectures at the Historical Faculty of Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University. During interactive classes the questions of the Holocaust features in Ukraine, human behavior during the war and the feat of the Righteous among the Nations, the problem of World War II memory preserving and «final solution to the Jewish question» were discussed.

 On April 12, together with Vladislav Bazylevsky, researcher of «Tkuma» Institute educational events were held in Izmail. At Prof. Yaroslav Kichuk, rector of Izmail State Humanitarian University invitation lecture for students of the history faculty on «Models of historical memory, memory of World War II and the Holocaust» was held within the frameworks of the project «Holocaust studies in Ukraine for the formation the atmosphere of tolerance».

 The same day a scholarly seminar for history teachers and methodologists of the region was also held. Dr. Igor Shchupak presented new author's textbooks on World history for 11th forms and an integrated course for 6th forms (written in cooperation with Olena Burlaka and Iryna Piskariova). Lively discussions among teachers raised the questions of multimedia technologies using during history lessons, visual content in educational literature and students motivation ways to study history.
