On February 09, consultations for young researchers – participants of the Dnipropetrovsk branch of the Junior Academy of Sciences was held at “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”. Recently, they have won the regional contest and are already preparing to represent the Dnipropetrovsk region in the national contest round of the Junior Academy of Sciences in Kyiv.

Researchers Dr. Olena Ishchenko, Iryna Radchenko, Dr. Igor Shchupak consulted the young researchers. In the archives of the Institute and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” there are many sources needed to the students; this time – on the history of mass repression of the 1920s and 1930s, on World War II and the Holocaust history.
“We are very happy that we can help the young researchers, - Dr. Igor Shchupak noted. – By the way, the topics of young historians are very relevant and related to totalitarian regimes and human rights abuses, and to the creation of “the image of the enemy” be the propaganda system. Modern Ukraine faces with all that now; so, it is good that young people are searching for
answers to the complex questions of history and the present”.
