On December 26, Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine historical department students together with Svitlana Kaiuk, our longtime friend and partner visited Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”. An interesting and informative program waited for the students:

- Dr. Igor Shchupak held a lecture on the peculiarities of the historical sources use in scientific research, work with archival documents and critical thinking towards them. Incredible stories about the fate of Ukrainians and Poles in Galicia who tried to rescue the Jews from the Holocaust interested students the most;

- Liudmyla Sandul, Museum "Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” chief funds custodian held a workshop on the methodology of working with historical sources. A task for the students was to create their own mini-exhibition with the use of photos and documents copies from the Museum's funds, and after the “war veteran story” writing to tell about the fate of the Jews at the front during World War II.

Students were excited about the task and have created real small museum exhibitions, which were built on a variety of artifacts. We hope that all the knowledge and skills gained today will be useful very soon, during the preparation of their first scientific and search works.
