On February 4, 2017 the Faculty of History of Oles Honchar Dnipro National University hosted the final event of the 2nd (regional) stage of all-Ukrainian contest-defense of research works by members of Dnipro department of Junior Academy of Sciences.
School students were welcomed by Prof. Serhii Svitlenko, Dean of the Faculty of History of DNU; Dr. Svitlana Kaiuk, Associate Professor of Department of History of Ukraine of DNU; Natalia Tiahlo, director of the municipal out-of-school educational institution “Junior Academy of Sciences”; Dr. Igor Shchupak, director of “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum, DNU Student Council representatives.
Dr. Igor Shchupak, who was a member of the jury in the section “World History”, noted the growing interest of students to the history of the twentieth century, including the Holocaust and World War II, and announced the release of printed collection of the best works of students - finalists of this contest.
