INTERNATIONAL HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE DAY IN ODESSA

 

On January, 27th Tkuma Center delegation took part in ceremony of flowers-laying to the Holocaust Victims’ Memorial. Much attention of the public and journalists has been attracted by the famous politician A. Yatsenuk participation in the ceremony.

On January, 27th Tkuma Center has conducted 2 seminars for Ukrainian and Jewish students at “Beit Grand” Jewish Cultural Center. The classes were conducted by Dr. Igor Shchupak, Tkuma Center Director, Dr. Aharon Weiss, Tkuma Center Academic Adviser, Dr. Faina Vinokurova (Vinnitsa) and Dr. V. Shchetnikov (Odessa) – members of Tkuma All-Ukrainian Academic Board.

Tkuma Center jointly with “Beit Grand” Jewish Cultural Center, Association of Former Ghettos’ and Concentration Camps’ Prisoners and Israeli Cultural Center has also conducted the Round table “Is it possible that Holocaust happen again?” The event has hosted historians, journalists and representatives of the public.

On January, 28th Tkuma Center with the assistance of “Beit Grand” Jewish Cultural Center has conducted 2 seminars on Holocaust history for Ukrainian schools’ students in Odessa.
